The newly-formed Liturgical Council has put an eye-catching box in the porch for your suggestions and comments. These may be on any parish topic, liturgical or otherwise, and you don't have to sign it, although it helps, if we need to ask for more information from you.

I was delighted with the number of people present. The reports from the groups gave a great flavour of the many activities that go on in the parish. My initial thought is we are hiding our talents under a tub. Maybe we should borrow vuvuvellas and blow our trumpet a bit more. People are always interested in finance. It was reported that by the time our project is finished, which is very soon, and bills paid we will have approximately between £50,000 and £60,000 in the deposit account. It is necessary to keep that in order to meet any unexpected bills. There is a slight anxiety in that in the ordinary running of the parish we had a deficit of about £2,000 but we did have one or two unexpected expenses. In spite of the recession you have been very generous. All I can say is keep it going.
