Location

The Church, Presbytery and Church Hall are located on the Hornchurch main road on a single site adjacent to St Mary’s School.

Travelling by Car

St Mary Mother of God is on Hornchurch Road (A124). If you are driving from the centre of Hornchurch, St Mary’s is on the left-hand side of the road, just after the Rodwell Engineering building as you start to come downhill towards B&Q and Tesco. If you are driving from the opposite direction, St Mary’s is on the right-hand side, just after Holy Cross Church (Church of England). Limited parking is available in the Church grounds, but, for safety reasons, the entrance to the car park is closed around school opening and closing times.

Public Transport

St Mary’s is on bus routes 248 (from Romford to Cranham via Romford Station and Upminster Station) and 365 (from Havering Park to Mardyke Estate via Romford Station and Elm Park Station).

Facilities

St Mary’s has a number of meeting rooms used by various parish groups, and a Parish Hall shared with St Mary’s School. The Hall is not normally available for private hire. There is ramp access to the Church (side-door), the Presbytery, the Parish Hall and the Van Meenen meeting room.

Toilets, including disabled toilets, are available in the Parish Hall (front ramped entrance) and at the back of the Van Meenen room (Access from the rear car park behind the church, during Sunday services).

The Church is equipped with a loop system for hearing-aid users.
